Gatesway Foundation

Services: Media Relations + Editorial Calendar Planning

The Challenge: The Gatesway Foundation is dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), including those with Autism and Down Syndrome, to live independently, work in their communities and improve their overall quality of life. Each year, Gatesway provides vital housing and wraparound services to approximately 300 Oklahomans with I/DD. While the organization’s impact is significant, Gatesway needed a partner to elevate awareness of its capital campaign to enhance living conditions for Oklahoma’s I/DD community, while also more clearly sharing its story and expanding general awareness of its mission and services.

Our Approach: We developed a media relations strategy and an editorial calendar designed to help Gatesway identify meaningful, engaging content that resonates and elevates awareness of its mission and impact among key audiences, including donors, clients and the broader community. This included refining key messages, identifying media outlets and planning content aligned with organizational milestones and awareness campaigns, creating a more cohesive and intentional approach to storytelling.

Outcome: With a clear media strategy and proactive, intuitive editorial plan in place, Gatesway has achieved more consistent and strategic visibility, and has utilized the editorial calendar to expand its content strategy and keep track of topics, post-types and relevance. The organization continues to strengthen its public narrative and expand its reach through earned media, including an editor’s pick in the Tulsa World and over 63,000 media impressions in three months. Through ongoing strategic support and a clearer message, Gatesway is  well positioned to communicate its mission, elevate key programs and engage the community through timely, coordinated storytelling.

The Parent Child Center of Tulsa

Services: Social Media Strategy & Management + Storytelling & Content Development + Media Relations + Website Strategy

The Challenge: The Parent Child Center of Tulsa (PCCT) has served families across Tulsa and the surrounding region for more than 35 years. Founded to prevent child abuse and strengthen families, PCCT is a trusted family resource, offering a comprehensive range of services — from trauma-informed care and parenting education to court collaborations and preventive programs in schools. As the organization continues to expand its reach, PCCT has the opportunity to strengthen its ability to connect with key audiences and ensure it remains visible, relevant and well-supported. At the heart of this work is a clear focus on showcasing impact—not just describing what PCCT does—but powerfully illustrating how its programs change lives and build stronger communities.

Our Approach: We started with a comprehensive marketing and communications audit to evaluate existing efforts and identify where the organization was excelling and where foundational support was needed. The audit revealed strong programmatic work but a need for clear messaging, a more strategic digital presence and a cohesive media approach. Based on these insights, we recommended a multi-phased initiative focused on strengthening the basics, including evaluating its brand, building a new website, full social media refresh and core storytelling strategy, while introducing a media strategy to support thought leadership and long-term visibility.

Outcome: PCCT gained clarity and consistency in how it communicates across platforms. With aligned messaging, a stronger digital presence and proactive media outreach, the organization is better equipped to tell its story and support long-term communications goals. These efforts contributed to measurable growth across channels, including a 51% increase in social media followers in under six months and more than 63,700 impressions across platforms. PCCT has also strengthened its voice through thought leadership, including a feature in the Tulsa Flyer. It continues to strengthen its communication with a new website in progress.
