Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
The Challenge: The launch of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Tulsa in 2023 provided a chance to introduce the program to the community, raise awareness of its mission to provide free books to children and generate excitement among families, educators and local stakeholders.
Our Approach: We supported the launch of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Tulsa with a community-focused press conference at the Tulsa City-County Library, featuring philanthropic leaders, the Tulsa Mayor, and local legislators. ONE80 led strategic planning and coordination, including project messaging, a detailed rollout plan, run of show, speaker remarks, media engagement, and overall press conference management. Our goal was to ensure the program’s introduction was engaging, well-organized and positioned to resonate strongly with the Tulsa community.
Outcome: The launch of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Tulsa generated strong initial awareness and a clear public introduction, helping put Oklahoma on the map as the twelfth state to commit to statewide participation in the program. Coordinated messaging and a well-executed press conference sparked media interest, including coverage from News Channel 8, TulsaKids Magazine, News on 6 and Public Radio Tulsa, and established a solid foundation for the program’s ongoing presence, connecting families and community partners from day one.
Atlas School
The Challenge: In January 2024, Atlas School, formerly Holberton Tulsa, needed a way to introduce its new name, brand identity and mascot to the community. The goal was to highlight the school’s commitment to Tulsa, its role in the city’s growing tech ecosystem and position Atlas as the largest pipeline of software engineering talent in the area.
Our Approach: We supported the rebrand and launch through a strategically planned press conference designed to build anticipation, unveil the new brand to the community and stakeholders, and deliver clear, memorable messaging while engaging media effectively. The event featured philanthropic leaders, the Oklahoma Lieutenant Governor, the Tulsa Mayor, and industry representatives. Our approach included preparing spokespeople, developing the run of show and speaker remarks, creating media-ready materials, and ensuring the event’s visuals and logistics reinforced the story Atlas wanted to tell.
Outcome: The standing-room only press conference resulted in placements, including in the Tulsa World. Strategic messaging and media engagement helped position the institution as a key contributor to the City’s tech ecosystem and a leading pipeline for software engineering talent.
