We build comprehensive media strategies that shape your story, strengthen relationships with journalists and place your message in the right outlets. From pitching and press conferences to tracking coverage, we manage the full lifecycle of earned media.

Center for Employment Opportunities

The Challenge: The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) in Tulsa has made a measurable impact helping justice-involved individuals successfully reenter the workforce, yet its story has the potential to reach a much broader, national audience. With plans to expand its presence in Tulsa through a new location and a growing national conversation around criminal justice reform, there was an opportunity to elevate CEO’s work as a model for impact-driven workforce reentry programs.

Our Approach: In addition to supporting the open house for its new Tulsa location, we identified an opportunity to reintroduce the organization’s services to local media, while securing a national media placement aligned with broader criminal justice reform conversations.

Outcome: CEO was featured in a national NPR story spotlighting its role in advancing criminal justice reform and workplace reintegration. The coverage elevated the organization’s work to a national audience, reinforcing its credibility and impact.

Local Press for Visit Tulsa &
Experience Tulsa — TODAY Show

The Challenge: When the TODAY Show spotlighted Tulsa on a national stage, we amplified the moment with strategic local media engagement. Coordinated press outreach and interview management ensured cohesive national and local coverage, while offering behind-the-scenes access tailored for local audiences.

Our Approach: Working alongside Visit Tulsa and Experience Tulsa, our role centered on coordinating logistics, facilitating interviews and ensuring local outlets had meaningful access and distinct story angles, while aligning seamlessly with the broader national production.

Outcome: This hands-on approach bridged national storytelling with Tulsa’s local media landscape. Tulsa’s story reached a national audience through NBC’s 3rd Hour of TODAY, featuring iconic landmarks, local leaders and cultural highlights. Coordinated local media engagement extended the visit’s reach and ensured both the community and local outlets felt connected to the coverage, earning placements in the TulsaFlyer, TulsaPeople and Tulsa World. This work underscores ONE80’s role as a trusted local partner for national initiatives, providing hands-on media support when high-profile moments come to Tulsa.

The Moth

The Challenge: The Moth Pop Up Porch launched its multi-city Southern tour in Tulsa in 2022, bringing the power of live storytelling to the community. This tiny, custom-built home with a welcoming porch offered Tulsans the chance to learn about The Moth, explore stories from its archive, and participate in one-on-one story coaching sessions. In these sessions, Moth staff—including directors, producers, and instructors—guided participants in using Moth-style storytelling techniques to transform personal experiences into compelling narratives.

Our Approach: ONE80 served as the local, on-the-ground media partner for The Moth’s Tulsa stop. We generated local media interest and coordinated outreach to ensure audiences understood the Pop Up Porch, how it worked and how community members could participate. Media placements highlighted the accessibility of the experience, showcased local voices, and emphasized the power of connecting through shared stories.

Outcome: Many stories were recorded on-site, and Tulsa kicked off the tour with two successful days of storytelling at Guthrie Green and the Gathering Place. The Moth’s Tulsa Pop Up Porch drew strong local media coverage—News on 6, FOX23 News, KTUL and Tulsa World—and community engagement, contributing to the tour’s overall success, which reached more than 5,000 attendees across the South.
