For more than 30 years, Ginnie Graham has lived in Tulsa as a working writer and editor in daily journalism, magazine writing and nonfiction books. At the Tulsa World, she was a reporter, editor and columnist who became the first woman to lead the editorial department and Opinion section. In addition, she has written pieces for other media including the Sooner Magazine for the University of Oklahoma and a history book for the Tulsa County Medical Society. She has been a ghostwriter for several individual biographies. Graham spent her childhood in Grove and graduated high school in Perry. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and master’s degree in public administration from the University of Oklahoma. Her past community involvement includes serving on the boards of Amplify, Meals on Wheels and OU Student Media. She volunteers with the Poetic Justice Prison Newspaper Project and the Edison Preparatory School Foundation.
