CLIENT

The Rogers County Tourism Cooperative is a collaborative of the communities representing Rogers County - Claremore, Catoosa, Verdigris, Oologah, Talala, Chelsea, Foyil and Inola. Discover Rogers County launched as a new tourism initiative designed to invite visitors to experience the history, culture and adventure that defines the vibrant region. Through discoverrogerscounty.com, social media channels and travel guides, visitors are invited to explore a destination that seamlessly blends authentic small-town charm with world-class attractions.

THE OPPORTUNITY

After tourism levels dropped significantly in 2020 following the pandemic, the Rogers County Tourism Cooperative needed a way to invite and engage potential visitors to Rogers County. 

As a team with deep roots in Rogers County, we know firsthand what this unique area has to offer. With breathtaking wildlife, a wealth of museums and iconic landmarks, Rogers County is a must-see destination for tourists, especially those making the drive down historic Route 66.

In collaboration with the board of the Rogers County Tourism Cooperative and AcrobatAnt, ONE80 developed a long-term strategy to drive tourism back into the region.

THE
SOLUTION

Discover Rogers County launched in December 2023 as a tourism-focused brand designed to entice visitors and highlight the unique amenities and landmarks of the area.


Market and community research informed our creative approach, which included a fresh name, logo, visuals and messaging. A new website, discoverrogerscounty.com, accompanies social media channels and travel guides, each providing guests with an in-depth look at Rogers County’s activities, restaurants, events and more. To help visitors plan their trip with maps, travel tips and real-time updates, an interactive app was integrated into the website and is now available through the Apple and Google app stores.

THE
PROCESS

The Process: To maintain momentum of the successful launch, ONE80 continues to manage and grow the brand’s social media, website and media outreach, working with local communities to spotlight local events, attractions and initiatives.

The Amplification: To increase visibility and extend the reach of the campaign, we collaborated with consulting partner Megan Shepherd of Sunroom Creative to create a storytelling and creator marketing program highlighting all there is to see, taste, and do on a weekend in Rogers County. Highlights included a visit from popular food influencer TulsaBite, whose content sparked a wave of organic engagement from other creators and local media outlets.

RESULTS

Through strategic brand management, compelling storytelling and strong community partnerships, Discover Rogers County has sparked renewed local interest and visibility. In the year leading up to the brand’s launch, visitor spending was estimated at $111 million. Just one year later, Rogers County experienced a remarkable $201.6 million in direct travel impact—an 81.6% increase in tourism revenue. This surge reflects not only the power of coordinated marketing, but also a promising future for the region’s economic vitality.
